Happy February, fellow Browns Backers! –
As far as I’m concerned, the NFL 2024-25 season is over.
Screw the Chiefs and screw the Eagles. I’m sick of their faces and I truly hope that game ends in a tying final score of 2-2, setting a record for the worst game in the history of all games ever.
The season is dead, long live next season!

Chiefs vs. Eagles….Ugh…
If anyone is pretending that the 2025-26 season isn’t over yet and is planning to view the POOPerbowl somewhere (see what I did there? Yah…I’m an adult), let me know and I’ll spread the word so that you can watch one of those terrible teams win together.

So…Who Should We Draft???
With 12 total picks, including at least one in each of the rounds, we’ve got some serious improvement potential this year! It’s about time!
So, who do we pick??? Where do we need the most help?
I think we can all agree that QB is our biggest area of need, but do we trust in an early-round drafted rookie to save us, or build out other areas (O-Line, Receivers, Secondary, etc.) and pickup a proven NFL QB on trades/free agency…
There’s a lot of swirl about Shedeur Sanders, but I’m not convinced this is going to be our move…
I’m not sure what the right answer is, but our team leadership has, aside from this past year, taken us from a bunch of consistent 20-year losers to a team that can win games and has made the playoffs twice. So, I’m hopeful that they learned their lesson on what not to do from the Deshaun Watson experience and are ready to get back to winning.
Be More Like Washington!
Washington’s season ended in disappointment, getting badly beaten by their rivals, the Eagles in the NFC championship match.
BUT!
They have sucked for decades, notching about as many winning seasons in that timeframe as our Browns, added an exceptional young quarterback, and produced a season in which they:
- Finished 12-5
- Won two playoff games
- Had the 4th highest scoring offense in the NFL
They made it to their conference championship after going 3-14 last year.
This gives me hope. We can put a few key new players into position and solidify our team to create a big change next year.

Two things to cover here:
- Sadly, we did not receive enough orders in our last round that included the gray T’s, so we weren’t able to fund the production. We’ll try this again heading into the 2026 season so that we can look good off the bat.
I’ll see if I can get some hats in the order as well, as I’ve had a few requests.
- We’ve got some unclaimed merch from the last order that we placed. If you ordered a shirt and didn’t get it (weren’t able to make it to a game to pickup….because we sucked…), please let me know and we can work to get it to you.
If I have any unclaimed shirts remaining when I write the next newsletter, I’m going to put them up for grabs.
